LIV
LIV is a 20-minute solo performance for all ages. Issue Park dances to tell the story of his arrival in Europe from South Korea and how the power of movement has shaped his body since childhood. The performance is an intimate and personal portrait of a dancer’s life and journey.
With intense presence, humour, and passion, he explores his search for balance and identity through a distinctive choreographic language blending breaking, hip-hop, contemporary dance, classical dance, and acrobatics. Performed entirely without words, LIV creates a direct and emotional exchange with the audience.
LIV was also developed into a full-length evening performance consisting of two solo works and the freestyle battle Battle My Heart by Kaori Ito. It toured selected theatres and festivals in 2022, including CDN de Normandie, Théâtre de la Foudre, and Unfinished Festival in Bucharest.
